Fastnet Short Film Festival | Life's a Breeze Screening
“Life’s a Breeze”, will be screened as Fastnet Short FIlm Festival's opening film on Wednesday 20th May.
The film follows a family struggling to stay afloat through recent hard times in Ireland. Unemployed slacker Colm (Pat Shortt), his aging mother, Nan (Fionnula Flanagan) and his niece, Emma (Kelly Thornton), must overcome their differences in a race against time to find a lost fortune.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Kelly Thornton hosted by Director Carmel Winters. Kelly was chosen from an open casting for the leading juvenile role opposite Fionnula Flanagan and Pat Shortt. She was nominated for a Lead Actress Film IFTA Award in 2014 and won the Bingham Ray New Talent Award at the 2013 Galway Film Fleadh. Kelly has appeared in Love Hate and will appear in John Carney’s new feature film Sing Street.
